If you ever have to act as net control station for the Northeast M.A.R.A. net, you might want to have the net procedure in front of you to make the job easier.

The previous net procedure assumes a large check in of members, something which has not happened for quite some time. Download this much simplified version (10 FEB 2007) to use instead.

Download a handy list of those people who have recently called into the MARA NE Saturday morning net on a more or less regular basis. Your choice of either 'PDF' format or WORD 'DOC' format.

It has various columns you can use to keep track of check-ins if you are going to be net control. Even a spot to put your own call sign.

One of the things suggested at our 2001 annual meeting was that we should be members of ARES. Here is the form to do it. Print it out and mail it in. This file is in ADOBE ACROBAT (.pdf) format. If you don't have this free program then you can download and install it.

N4TW, Ted, mentioned on our Saturday morning net that members of his RACES group in St. Lawrence County, NY, are required to take the IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 courses offered by FEMA by June of 2006 or risk losing federal emergency funding. This applies to all agencies of the County government (e.g., fire, police, etc.).

You can view and take these and other courses on-line at http://www.training.fema.gov/EMIweb/IS/crslist.asp
